What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a process that aims to help people develop new skills, face difficulties, set goals and objectives for their personal lives, and empower them to meet these goals.
Life coaching takes you from where you are today - to where you want to be! It's not about fixing a problem - it's about creating the life you want!

About me

My name is Ari. I have trained as a life coach. I was born in Israel to an English-speaking family. I have a BA from Ariel University in psychology/criminology/anthropology/sociology (Behavioral Sciences).

I love helping people successfully progress in their lives in order to attain greater fulfillment. Whether it is improving quality of life, developing a new outlook, assisting in self reflection about personal thoughts and doubts, relationships and career, or just your day-to-day activities.

How I See It

Understanding the Marathon Man

“How can you love to run?” “Why do you run so much?” These two questions, out of all the questions I’m asked, come up the most. As a professional runner, I’m always asked questions about it. I try to answer these questions in the best way possible, but its a difficult task. I have been running for over a decade and have never really thought about what running means to me.  It’s just really hard for me to explain… it’s something I do… I can’t just put it into words but I will try. So lets see how this goes.

The path less taken

Light breeze, cars driving here and there, a couple or two passing by, but mostly quiet, solitude, nature- Night time is like that and I love it. All day people seem to be in a rush. But, rushing to where? To get to their jobs? “Get on” with their lives? Or just keeping moving…and moving.  For what? Why do we do what we do?  Is it because this is the way it is meant to be, or is it the way we choose for it to be? Who runs whose life? Do we have control over our lives or is it controlled by others?  When you stop to think about it, I mean really think about it, is it you or is it society that makes you who you are today?

Do you know where to get off or rather on?

We live in a world where in one decade we have the potential to know more than those before us knew in thousands of years on the planet. This is an era booming in information, technology, agriculture, with everything coming at us in fast movement with expectations of fast growth. Added to the fast growth, are the expectations of kids today which are higher than they have ever been, forcing them to employ fast learning and adaptation to their surroundings. It makes sense after all, if everything around us is moving so fast, we must move fast as well to keep up. A kid who can’t adapt and keep up, raises a lot of questions, but mainly “will he survive the big world?” Yet with all the knowledge and the fast-growing pace we live in, we are still afraid of small changes as life moves on (after our youth and college years). This is an interesting phenomenon because we would expect that kids growing up in a fast paced environment would grow up to be used to fast changes. How then can it be that someone who is constantly changing, constantly learning new things, and taking chances- all of a sudden is scared of something new or even the slightest change in routine?
